In the beautiful landscape called "the High Coast" (Höga Kusten). Built 1997.

On the picture below you can spot a bit of the Hotel and Resturant from where you have an awesome view of the bridge. It´s even better in the evening/night when the cables are lit up.

Sandöbron
About 6 miles up the river you can see Sandöbron, the longest bridge of it´s kind when it was built in 1943.

They started to build it in 1938. The 31st of August 1939 something suddenly went wrong, the wood structure where the span was being casted cracked and everything stormed into the water and took the life of 18 workers. One of the biggest workplace disasters ever in Sweden. But the whole thing was put into shadow because 12 hours after the bridge collapsed Germany maked their first move into Poland and the World War 2 had started.
LAter they started the construction-work again and the bridge was inaugurated in the summer of 1943.
Span: 264 meters
Height: 40 meters
After all, two great bridges in a very short radius from each other.
