Any renderings of the final design. It looks like it could be kinda different.

Huge bridge for 1 Km. distance only. Hmm I don't see the two tall structures of the bridge in the render for some reason.

The two tall towers are temporary. They are there to support the structure of the arch during construction and will be removed after the arch can bear its own weight.

I think there was a bridge in Shanghai built using the same technique.

This picture is so massive. I love it :master:

@macpolo, do you have info about Chaotianmen arch bridge? It's supposed to become world's longest arch bridge, with a span of 552m, surpassing by 2m current world's longest, Shanghai's Lupu bridge.

Chongqing, China —Thousands of spectators crowded the Caiyuanba Bridge over the Yangtze River on the first day the structure opened to traffic.

The bridge cost two billion yuan (about 268 million U.S. dollars) and took four years to build.

A mix of tunnels and flyovers with an unusual arch and cable construction, the bridge spans a record 1,377 feet (420 meters).

Chongqing's location on both the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers has helped earn it the title of China's "bridge capital," according to the Web site Bridge Web.
