May. 2nd, 2005 -- Although Disney CEO-elect Robert Iger says the company will be focusing a lot on international expansion, a Disney park in India apparently isn't one of the possibilities. Yesterday Disney officially denied the report that it was negotiating plans with the Indian government and says it has no plans to do so in the future.
Last week, Iger and current CEO Michael Eisner did visit India and meet with the prime minister to talk about future opportunities in the country, but Disney said there was no discussion of a theme park. However Disney is thought to be considering a park in Shanghai.
