Australia is 'big' in terms of land. But more medium in terms of population.

There are a couple of mistakes above. First, Turkey is not in Europe. Second, you forgot Ukraine, which is the largest country entirely in Europe (I saw this because the majority of Russia's land is in Asia).

Turkey is partly European. Same story for the biggest city in Turkey: Istanbul. Also the lifestyle of many modern Turks fits into European culture pretty well. Turkey is more European than you might think when solely looking at its geographical position.

I thought about Ukraine. well....The country has quite large territory and population but...if her GDP/capita was only about 10,000, I would say Ukraine is big... but currently, her economy scale is even negligible...Ukraine is not Spain...Sorry.

What the hell are we taking about here?

Land Mass?
Population?
GDP?
A ratio between two of the above?

Sorry, but the original question has not been correctly defined.

It depends...do you mean landmass or population?
Canada and Australia are big countries, but if count the population the UK is bigger that these two together...so what do you mean?
