Kiyomizu-dera . First recognized as a temple in the year 810. Exact date of construction unknown.

Kiyomizu-dera 清水寺, or more officially Otowazan Kiyomizu-dera 音羽山清水寺, is located in Eastern Kyoto, on the side of a mountain overlooking the city. It competes with the like of Kinkakuji and Arashiyama as the major tourist destination in Kyoto, and many people flock to the temple everyday. I've also been there. It was declared a World Cultural Hertage Site by UNESCO in 1994 as part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.

It's most recognizable feature is the large deck outside of the temple, which overlooks the city of Kyoto, called the Oobutai 大舞台 (literally "large stage").

Although many people see it throughout the year, the best season to see it is during the Spring, when the Sakura (cherry blossoms) are in full bloom. I personally like Autumn along with Spring.

This temple is made by Koreans (Baekjae) right? 8/10

@Ellatur

This is more of a Korean architecture as it was made by the Koreans.

@Ellatur

This is more of a Korean architecture as it was made by the Koreans.

Kiyomizu-dera, as seen today, is believed to have been built by Sakanoue-no-tamuramaro 坂上田村麻呂 (758-811), a Japanese general and shogun of the Heian Period (794-1192). So I don't think it was built by Koreans. :)
