Sydney Opera House was designed by Danish Architect "JORN UTZON" in 1956 and finally declared complete in 1973. The building can lay claim to being the first multi-purpose "PERFORMING ART CENTER", with two main auditoria. :)

Auditorium "Parco della Musica" in Rome designed by Renzo Piano

"Music has been the underlying priority of the Auditorium’s architectural and urban project.

All the available areas, both internal and external, have been planned according to their being functional to musical activity. More specifically, the Auditorium has not only three concert halls, but also a rehearsal hall, a foyer and a cavea.

Each of the three halls is different in size and has been constructed with the aim of satisfying the needs of any music genre. The Santa Cecilia Hall can be used for large orchestral and choral symphonic concerts. The Sinopoli Hall, because of its greater acoustic flexibility, is more apt for a great variety of musical genres. This is also because orchestra position can be modified with respect to the audience; the Petrassi Hall , finally, has been assigned to contemporary musical genres, theatre performances and cinema. This is because it has an inbuilt system that allows both the musical source and the audience to be shifted and the sound reverberation tuned.
The two rehearsal halls (one for large orchestras and choir and one for choir only) are also important musical locations. Thanks to the quality of their technical facilities and equipment, they guarantee all practice sessions optimal acoustic conditions.
Even the foyer can be used, on particular occasions, to present simple musical performances.

Finally, the Cavea, the open-air amphitheatre at the centre of the Auditorium, is another particularly interesting musical area welcoming up to 3.000 spectators.
Apart from these areas dedicated exclusively to music, the new Auditorium also has spaces that can be used for conferences, debates, meetings with composers and musicians, research (there is a library and a listening room) and didactic purposes (vocal, musical and multimedia research workshops). Finally, there is also a bookshop, a bar and a restaurant to take pleasant rests."

Auditorium Niccolo' Paganini in Parma (Italy)... designed by Renzo Piano

"The Paganini auditorium was built inside the disused Eridania sugar factory, a group of industrial buildings of extremely different volumes and structure types. Close to the historical centre, it is located in a now well-established park, which contains many high quality tree and shrub specimens.
Its conversion into an auditorium was made possible thanks to ideal contributing factors. The size of the main block (which hosts the functions dedicated to the musical events: the foyer, the hall and the stage) respects the basic criteria regarding acoustic proportions: its location in the park simplified the soundproofing work and, after the necessary elimination of the extensions, the layout of the various factory units was suitable for holding the auditorium hall, and the service and rehearsal spaces.
The project included eliminating the main body's transversal curtain walls, and replacing them with three large glass walls, to ensure transparency throughout the length of the 90 metres long building. Even during concerts, the park can be seen from any viewpoint in the hall and foyer. A system of soundproof panels hung from the trusses over the stage completes the spatial organisation of the main body.
The public enters through the south end, and proceeds through the building's length: there is first a roofed open air space, leading inside, passing through the first wide glass wall; from here one continues on to the two-levels foyer.
Located at the north end, near the glass end-wall, the 250 square metres stage offers enough space for large musical companies, made of a choir and orchestra. The 780 seats stalls, divided over 590 square metres, covers a slight sloping single level, favouring visibility from all the rows of seats."

Currently, there are talks about expanding the Jacob Javits Ctr, though that failed for the Jets Stadium that many didn't want to pay for.
