Amanohashidate"天橋立", roughly meaning "bridge to heaven", is a 3.6 kilometer long,
8000 pine trees covered sand bar, spanning across Miyazu Bay on the Tango Peninsula, northern Kyoto Prefecture.
It is one of Japan's three most scenic views.

To view the sand bar as a "bridge to heaven", turn your back towards the bay, bend over and look at it from between your legs.

To view the sand bar as a "bridge to heaven", turn your back towards the bay, bend over and look at it from between your legs.errr I guess people must do things differently in Japan??? Over here in America people rarely assume such a position. :)

Very nice scenery. I don't understand the part about looking at from between one's legs, though.
