Something might have come up for Ferney (the only other true confirmed member). So I don't think the noon meetup is happening. I know many of you spies are heartbroken by this turn of events but don't get too down.

I'm sure another will be scheduled for next month and the circle of life will continue.

since some are planning to be at LAX for the A380 arrival, why not plan a meet then? It will be landing on 24R, so In-N-Out on sepulveda would be an excellent meeting location. just park at LAX Lot C (i believe the first 3hrs are free) and walk across the street. parking on sepulveda or the other small side streets will likely be a nightmare. afterwards, you can all head out somewhere.

Uh, yeah, let's all meet there, along with with hundreds of other people who will be watching the landing as well. In true SSC fashion, no one will name a time or exact location, so even if 10 of us show up there, none of us would know who each other are (Except for possibly Baz and Ferney).

Then we can all go back to home/our workplaces and post how we saw the plane land but never actually met each other.

This sounds just as lamebrained as the ill-fated Pershing Square the Chinese New Year Parade meet (hey! Let's all meet in a large public place with a lot of people with no specific location, so we can't tell who each other are!)

We might as well organize a meet on "Planet Earth." Hey! We're already there! It's a complete success!!! :banana:

You guys are bitches. Seriously. I (along with Ferney) went to the SSP meet last year at Lost Souls. Every single LA poster from SSP (sans LA Sports Fan) was there as well as a few lurkers. We completely took over the coffee shop. Had a great time.

What you people need to do is NOT plan to meet in a few days in a place with a lot of people. You were talking about meeting at a In N Out across the street from LAX. WHAT??

Plan months in advance. Make a list of all the people wanting to come. Exchange cell numbers.
