The project is called Marina de Lisboa, on west Lisbon riverside, about 5km. It will be a residential/office area, and could include 2 highrises (from 20-30 floors)

Can we have some more renders? Those that have been posted look awfully mediocre for a city like Lisbon. :S

Very interesting Marco. Is this on the Belém side, or the Nations Park side?

I think Lisbon is a fantastic city. I would be interested to see some renderings of the building represented by the wire mesh in the scale model.

If you know about Lisbon, you wouldn't have written this. Lisbon has many beautiful historical area's and many wonderful modern area's. This is not in an area that would conflict with the city's history.

i was in lisbon some years ago. but i dont know where this part is located. it doesnt matter, modern architecture must have a relation to the old architecture of a town. and cold faceless glass buildings dont have that. look at the hafencity in hamburg, thats a good example

^^ this renders are only shapes/floors/relation with the site, and not the final architecture. This is still only a masterplan.

It looks good, but a little too "perfect grid". Once more renders come out though, I think it will have a more established, organic look to it.

Me too! The Hafencity is a well done square in hamburg. Something different in contrast to older parts of the city!

marco, you must put it in the portuguese forum, we didnt see it.
it's a great project, as Parque das Nações (Nation Park), They're making many reconstructions in the Zona Ribeirinha, now, it have an huge and ugly port, but in a few years, it will desapear, and all the coast will be like that. As many parts in lisbon, that were poor, and parst with no prople, that the government did new areas, of modern urbanization, like Parque das nacoes, Alta de Lisboa, Carnide, etc. oh yeah without destroy the historic old town, or any kind of cultural and historic part of lisbon, it's a health growing  .. temos q flar os lados positivos da coisa  ..

Construction on the plot that you see on the near side on the first picture has just begun. It includes a €500 million medical investigation centre and will look like this:
