Porto Cristovão

My God, this same "song" again... Everything that is projected in Brazil, anywhere in the country, has to be "careful with Amazon Region" (at least for those that lack a better Geaography class). Seems like 101% of Brazilian area is covered by Amazon Forest... The city of Aracaju is located very far from Amazon Basin. :bash:

Alguem acha que vai sair do papel? Tenho dúvidas... Sergipe está crescendo, mas uma cidade planejada de 600 mil pessoas? É maior do atual capital!! Só acredito vendo...
25 km de Aracaju... para norte ou para sul...?

I believe this is still a proposal....the developer is looking for investors.
There isn´t much information in the developers website www.brasilinvest.com.br and www.in-vi.com

According to this website : http://www.terra.com.br/istoedinheiro/445/negocios/cancun_sergipe.htm
the project will cost about US$2 billion and the whole development area should be occupied in 20 years.
It also says that construction should start this year.

I just hope they will not destroy more of the Amazon Forest
I aprecciate your worries, but sadly the biota of that zone ( atlantic forest ) has been almost exterminated ( only 9% remains ) so let them do whatever they want...
Amazon forest is destroyed due to much more stupid acts!
