So does anyone have any good recommendations for a good Cinco de Mayo hot spot here in L.A.. Last year we hit El Torito's in Northridge and it was jammed packed. This year I want something closer to this side of Town. Help, LA Party Animals???

what side of town are you talking about? but i'm sure any place will be really good, especially if they televize the Dela Hoya bout happening the same day!!! I will definitely look for a place close to my house!! that's h-town off course....
re: u....hmmm go to Villa Sombrero in Highland Park...THE best margaritas..even if u're not into margaritas it is well worth the drive....go early, gets pretty packed

So Highland Park has a good area for the Cinco. I want me some Tequila shots to get into the mood. Then I'll happily drink me some Margaritas!!!!
THANKS Houston.... I guess the rest of the LA Forumers are prudes!

Try the Baja Cantina on Washington (free self-serve chips and salsa) near C&O or La Cabana at Lincoln and Rose. Both are pretty fun places to get hammered drinking margaritas.

Any place showing the boxing match with De La Hoya - Mayweather fight?
I'm rooting for Los Angeles' own Golden Boy of course but I'm especially hyped because I have two relatives fighting in the undercard matches - Philippine boxers Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista and AJ "Bazooka" Banal, both are nephews of mine on my mom's side, and both are undefeated!
Bautista will be fighting Argentinian boxer Sergio Manuel Medina for the WBO Superbantamweight title and Banal will be fighting Mexico's Juan Alberto Rosas in a Non-Titled Match.
Here's a pic of me on the right, Rey Bautista on the left and champion boxing coach Freddie Roach in the middle:
