Vancouver Site Finally Confirmed
October 17th, 2007

After years of speculation and anticipation, there is finally confirmation that that an Apple store will occupy a space inside the Pacific Centre Mall in downtown Vancouver (BC). The three-block indoor mall has been undergoing a long-term and extensive renovation that included demolition, construction and the juggling and moving of several retailers, along with the addition of new stores. But Apple isn’t among those new tenants. Instead, additional construction will begin in 2009 for retail space where Apple will locate its first western Canada store. That work will be finished by the holiday season of 2009 and, most importantly, for the 2010 Olympic Games that begin in February.

Huh.. Kamloops had an apple store in the Sahali Centre mall and I am absolutely positive so thats a lie.

I think they mean an Apple Superstore... not just a little retail outlet that sells Apple products..

Vancouver has a lot of "apple" stores too - but they aren't real Apple Stores

where customers can download music and movies etc for their ipods etc. as well as buy accessories and crappola

just licensed dealers for Apple

will it be done by 2009 when the Canada Line opens? i would imagine so, it would make sense to do it all at once.

Not sure - haven't heard anything about timing. I figure the station house on the plaza would be the last phase of the Vancouver City Centre Station - so the timing could be about then.

I dont believe that the store in Kamloops was an actual " Apple " store . I cant remeber the name of the store though .
