Finally some movement on the massive undeveloped/abandoned south-west block of Yonge & Eglinton!
Not the TTC bus yards themselves, unfortunately, but rather all the single-dwelling houses behind the yards lining Duplex and Berwick Aves. Most of them have been empty for quite some time now.
Anyway, there's a development proposal sign up now that proposes dozens of townhomes lining Duplex, a small parkette and a 17 st bldg on Berwick.
Not huge, but finally something. Now when the Hell is the TTC going to announce their plans for the bus yards themselves? They're a blight on the whole area with their 3 foot tall overgrown weeds sticking out through the cracked cement! Weren't we supposed to see a plan in Jan 2007?!
