Gas or Electric?.
Seriously though meters don't really convey much meaning to us over here. sure we can measure in meters but when we're talking about distance or height we tend to think in feet.

Length: 619 feet = 189 metres
Area: 104,275 sq. feet = 9790 square metres
Choir Vault: 116 feet = 35 metres
Nave Vault: 120 feet = 37 metres
Height of Tower: 331 feet = 101 metres
Under Tower Vault: 175 feet = 56 metres
Tower Arches: 107 feet = 33 metres
:)
BTW: Everywhere Britain used to own used to use imperial (ie the whole British Empire). However, know even Britain is partly metric - the US is the only 'fully imperial' country.

I didn't realise it was built so recently. What date was Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral completed? - because that looks a lot more modern.
As for the design, it's great, but there are a number of better cathedrals in the UK. 9/10
