Here I found an old panorama of Hanoi skyline 100 years ago (the steel bridge in the picture was the 2nd biggest steel bridge in the world when it was built in 1902 (the 1st is the Golden Gate in CA US)

And an other new one after 100 years, it was taken by an "amateur" :D
(may be in 2003 or 2004 and the quality is not so good)

As a 1400 years old city and the 1000 years old capital of Viet Nam, Hanoi may be also the same with Bejing - China (Have some high limited of Buildings or something like that...!?) Although Hanoi is the capital but it is very small, it's only equal 1/2.5 time of Sai Gon or Ho Chi Minh city, and in VN it's not the biggest bussiness center. Hanoi only is a cultural, politic and spirit heart capital of Viet Nam

And the Ba Dinh Square with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in a winter day

For one of the world's fastest growing economies following China, it is amazing that Vietnam is about to move out of poverty and slowly awakening to power. Wow, these Hanoi pics show so much changes it has undergone and also several high tech structures that you woudn't expect from a developing country. Hanoi is now on the rise. 8/10
